Henry Payer Biography

A 2008 graduate of Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA), this young Winnebago painter has developed a style that is truly dynamic. His narrative compositions are bold and contemporary, filled with vibrant color each canvas tells a distinct story the welcomes the viewer in. Henry represents the work of a new generation and Legends Santa Fe is honored to be a part of this rising star’s career.

Henry was recently awarded the Brother Simon SJ publicity award at the 41st annual Red Cloud Indian School art show. In 2009, Henry came back to the IAIA museum in Santa Fe for a show which included new works by the young painter.
